At the age of 7, Kai's mother passed away, leaving just him and his father. However, unable to take care of him, Rimis placed Kai into the hands of his good friend, Aron, the King of Aitheus, and promised to come back for his son. He never came back.

 Out of sympathy, King Aron adopted Kai. He grew up alongside the King's daughter, Nevia, whom he considers as a sister (while maintaining respect for her status as a princess). He also became inspired when he saw the Royal army for the first time and quickly became interested with combat and weaponry.

Kai had a certain spirit and dedication that enabled him to join the military and quickly mastered fighting and magic techniques. He soon rose up in ranks and is currently one of the youngest Commanding officers of the Royal Army.
