Because of his lack of mind capacity, Reeve seems immune to Cecilia's powers and so he has the potential to notice anything strange that happens around his town. If he can. 

Reeve is extremely playful and almost devoid of seriousness. He can sometimes have a short-attention span, is absent-minded and can become totally oblivious of the situation that he's in. This unpredictable personality often makes him unreliable to others, but for some reason, Ember lets him hang around her. Not that he wouldn't anyway - he adores the girl (he's also the only one that can rile her up ^_^)


Him being a vampire doesn't seem to change his behavior either.
